2nd Lt. William Lee, 1st Regiment N.H. Continental Line
William Lee enlisted as a Sergeant in Captain Levi Spaulding’s Company of Colonel James Reed’s 3rd New Hampshire Regiment on April 23, 1775. His residence is given as Lyndeborough, New Hampshire. On January 1, 1776, Sergeant Lee was commissioned as an Ensign in the 2nd Continental Infantry (the temporary designation for the 3rd Regiment, New Hampshire Continental Line).
On November 8, 1776, Ensign Lee was promoted to Second Lieutenant and transferred to Captain Amos Emerson’s 5th Company of the 1st Regiment, New Hampshire Continental Line.
Second Lieutenant William Lee resigned January 10, 1778.
